Current Sales
Geneva, Illinois: Merra-Lee Shops has been a key player in downtown Geneva. Owner Mike Simon is both merchant and landlord, not only for five different Merra-Lee Shops but also as a co-owner of The Little Traveler, a cornerstone of Geneva's shopping community. Mike's current plan is to concentrate his retail energy on The Little Traveler and redevelop his properties at the corner of State and Third Streets after the Merra-Lee Shops current Going Out of Business Sales.
Pasadena, California: Carroll & Co. lease at 146 South Lake Avenue is expiring and owner John Carroll says he probably will not renew at the Pasadena location. His Pasadena Lease Termination/Stock Liquidation Sale, now in progress, includes all new shipments of clothing, furnishings, sportswear and shoes as well as signature staples that customarily never go on sale, even at end-of-season clearances. Carroll & Co. flagship store, Beverly Hills, is not participating in this event.
Wyckoff, New Jersey: Kids Stuff, founded thirty years ago by GLoria and Frank Arone as a specialist for babies and young children, will be reborn with a new name as a new age store catering to grammar and middle school students, fulfilling the vision of Arone daughters Angie and Mandy. Babies, little kids clothing and toys will be permanently discontinued after the Kids Stuff Going Out of Business Sale.
Raleigh, North Carolina: Tyler House long-time owner Jennifer Huggard prepares for a new chapter in her life with her Retirement/Store Closing Sale.
She admits she will miss her store crew and loyal customers but
she is gratified by the strong initial response to her sale.
North Bethesda, Maryland: Bruno Cipriani, White Flint Mall, has been called the finest Italian designer for men in the Greater Washington area; but the name was created by Eduardo and Mamma De Pandi when their three toddler children were expected to continue the business after their parents retired. Life is full of surprises: the three children, now grown, each has a successful career. Retailing -- even luxury retailing -- holds no glamour for them. Eduardo still loves the feel and drape of a fine fabric; but his lifetime savings were bound up in a store full of expensive clothes. His Future Undecided/Stock Liquidation Sale addresses the problem and leaves all options open.
